A wonderful Cincinnati-based initiative to empower healthcare innovation in our region!
Innov8 for Health’s inaugural year was about getting this region’s entrepreneurs engaged in health care, an industry that has been slower than others to embrace a culture of innovation.
The goal wasn’t to innovate for the sake of innovation. It was about solving real problems and positioning Cincinnati as a hub of health-care technology innovation and job creation.
So far, so good. Innov8, which is coordinated by Viable Synergy LLC and supported by a wide swath of regional institutions, led to seven startups over the last year which each received $20,000 from Ohio New Entrepreneur’s (One) Fund to develop their ideas.
